Cooper Square Realty has honored five employees as the 2008 All-Stars. The award is given to individuals whose work and dedication stand out.
“With 300 dedicated employees it is a difficult, and perhaps unfair, task to single out only a few individuals for recognition, when, actually, so many are truly deserving,” said David Kuperberg, Cooper Square Realty CEO. “However, for one reason or another, the people we honored stood slightly taller than the others.”
The Diamond Award winners are Petra Bergstrand and Jeff Cohen. Petra is general manager of the Residences at the Plaza and Jeff at 20 Pine Street. They were cited for the excellent supervision of these two super-luxury properties, where they are implementing a new level of management adding five-star-hotel, concierge-type services and more personal contact with residents in addition to property management functions.
Three Star Awards were given.
Hollie Sehring won an award for “Back Office Support.” Hollie supervises the three-person payroll department, with responsibility for the weekly payroll of more than 2,000 employees of Cooper Square Realty and properties the company manages. Her responsibilities include making certain employee benefits are paid and coordinating with payroll companies.
Gary Weil, a property manager, is “Rookie of the Year.” Gary is a manager at the huge Lincoln Towers complex responsible for several buildings and in his first year quickly established himself as a highly capable manager.
Catherine Chahine received the “Management” award. Though Catherine’s title is Assistant Property Manager (APM), she is much more. She serves as the Executive APM for a team leader and helps ensure everyone is working together. She also has her own management responsibilities for several buildings. Catherine joined Cooper Square Realty when the company purchased Equity Management.
